Happy New Year everyone.

I wanted to take just a minute to let you guys know what is going on up at Hood right now! Currently, a mass amount of precipitation is falling out of the sky. It’s been non-stop snowing for 2 weeks, making up the majority of Mt. Hood’s current base. The burly weather made for some unhappy campers @ Windells. But we got one clear day, and New Year’s was amazing! We got to go to Ski Bowl, (which happens to be the SICKEST night pow, anywhere!) and watch fireworks, while it was lightly snowing! Definetely one of the most fun New Year’s I have ever had!

I had some of the coolest camper kids in the world. They had smiles on their faces the entire time, and shared the same love for the mountains that I have! Even in the worst conditions! Mad props goes to them!
During the Holidays I also got to do some downtown shredding due to the 2 feet that fell in PORTLAND! That NEVER happens! People were freaking out! I even saw someone jack their car up to put chains on…too funny!
So that about wraps up my recent Hood trip. I am back to Tahoe where tha bluebird pow days are numerous! Come find me in tha trees!
I saw this online today and thought…”why didn’t I have this on my list earlier?”.

So for whatever reason i decided to make my own site. With some coding help from my girlfriend,Liz, i was able to create this abomination of God and man. Its got some photos, video and my general musings plus random internet findings. If you enjoy wasting time and learning nothing and maybe just maybe some skiing stuff check it out. -

For Halloween we sat down with Pure Evil himself, Mr. Jon Hartman. We picked at his brain and it tasted just fine. The following is our conversation with our new family member. Hope you kiddies enjoy…read on>>>
GIV – well where you at right now?
Jon – my apartment- denver colorado 0′ N 105° 16′ W
GIV – How is it down there compared to Boulder?
Jon – Well there are lots less hippies which is a good thing, and I go to school down here so that’s nice. I like it a lot better, I’m kind of a city person and there is enough urban down here to kill a mule so that’s an all around plus.

GIV – How’d you get into skiing?
Jon – Well I grew up in new york in the city so I didn’t have much of a chance just weekend trips to Hunter and Whindam when I was a little kid – then around middle school my parents moved to colrado and I just got the chance to ski a lot and really fell in love with it.
